Kristin Rhodus grew up in Las Vegas and has been living in Florida for 8 years. For her undergraduate degree, Kristin attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminology. While at the university, Kristin participated in a research forum where she performed extensive research on camera perspective bias relating to criminal investigations and the impact of the camera perspective bias in false confession cases. Kristin was then invited to present her findings in the open forum.
Kristin earned her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. While working towards her doctorate, Kristin interned with Navy JAG where she gained experience in drafting motions, reviewing discovery and writing research memorandums. While attending Florida Coastal, Kristin was invited to be a member of the school’s elite Moot Court Program. She participated in 6 moot court competitions and became the most awarded member in the program. In 2009, Kristin’s team placed in the top four at the Nationals Competition in Houston. Once out of law school, Kristin practiced in the areas of criminal defense, civil litigation and family law. Kristin joined The Law Office of Robert Eckard & Associates P.A. in June of 2019 after leaving the Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office. She is admitted to practice in all Florida and North Carolina state courts.
