Leo is a criminal defense and government investigations attorney representing clients in State and Federal Court. Before joining the firm, Leo worked at the Public Defender’s Office in Polk County for 5 years where he zealously and aggressively represented clients in a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, including DUI, battery, DUI manslaughter, drug trafficking, burglary, armed robbery, and homicide. A trial attorney at his core, Leo is never afraid of taking a case to trial having tried over 40 cases to verdict.
Additionally, Leo represents clients in a variety of Business Litigation matters including trade secret litigation, breach of contract and business torts.
Background and Education
Leo is a native of Pennsylvania and has lived in Florida since 2014. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science legal studies and a minor in creative writing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Leo received his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2018. At Florida Coastal Leo was a member of the Mock Trial Team and the Hispanic American Law Student Association. Leo is of Dominican heritage and is fluent in Spanish.
