EDUCATION:
Peyton Cochran is a Florida native, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Peyton attended The Bolles School, where she studied Mandarin Chinese, and spent a summer semester travelling throughout China, practicing the language, and learning the culture. Peyton then attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in East Asian Cultures, Mandarin Chinese. Throughout her time at the University of Florida, Peyton dedicated her studies to understanding the complexities of international law and the interactions of global governmental organization.
Upon graduation, Peyton attended Stetson University College of Law. During her time at Stetson Law, Peyton served as a campus ambassador and dedicated her time to assisting the Stetson community as well as incoming first year law students. Peyton also worked as a teacher’s assistant in Business Entities, after receiving a top score in the class the previous year and has since assisted this Firm in numerous complex business and commercial litigation disputes.
As with her undergraduate education, Peyton dedicated the majority of her legal education to learning the intricacies of international law and has since assisted this firm in numerous international cases, specifically those brought under The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Peyton has been a part of this firm since 2022 and worked as a law clerk throughout her time at Stetson Law. As a law clerk, Peyton has had hands on experience with our clients and their cases, and is well-versed in matters involving contract disputes, business torts, partnership agreements, noncompete agreements, unfair and deceptive trade practices, class actions, and, of course, international law.
WHEN SHE’S NOT WORKING HARD FOR CLIENTS:
Since attending the University of Florida, Peyton has fostered dozens of dogs and cats, and helped find them their forever homes. Today, Peyton is a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, where she enjoys spending time with her two four-legged children, Auggie and Kobe, and continues to advocate for rescuing and adopting dogs and cats. When she isn’t working or taking care of her own dogs, Peyton enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
